Wat Lok Molee is a historic Buddhist temple just north of the old city moat in Chiang Mai, Thailand. First recorded around 1367, it is linked to the Mangrai kings of the Lanna kingdom. Its great brick chedi, built in 1528, holds the ashes of King Mueang Ket Klao. After decades as a ruin, the temple was revived in 2001 and now has resident monks, a carved teak Lanna-style hall, and yearly festivals including Songkran and Yi Peng.
