Telemidi is an approach to real-time music collaboration that enables musicians to exchange performance data over the Internet instantly. Computer networking introduces latency (a delay in data transfer), which can be a challenge in traditional music performance. Telemidi is designed to accommodate latency, allowing performers to interact musically in sync, build and exchange musical ideas, and engage in improvisation and composition (Comprovising) seamlessly, no matter the physical distance between them.
