India is investigating Telegram over its alleged involvement in extortion and gambling. Meanwhile, Telegram founder Pavel Durov was arrested in Paris over the app's weak moderation policies. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, apps with more than 5 million Indian users may face a ban. Telegram has not commented yet.
