The London Eye opened in 2000 and is 135 metres high. It is one of the tallest observation wheels in the world, and has 32 glass-walled observation capsules, each holding 25 observers, offering visitors breathtaking views for up to 25 miles (40kms) around the capital city. On a clear day Windsor Castle can be seen on the western horizon. One entire revolution of the wheel takes approximately 28 minutes.
