Curriculum
Our Early Years (PK – SK) program sets the foundation for future learning in a child’s life. Our students learn through inquiry-based opportunities anchored to Cambridge Primary Curriculum. Building on the strong foundation of our Early Childhood Program, CIS Elementary (Grade 1 – 5) students more fully immerse themselves in developing conceptual understanding and competencies across a broad range of disciplines through the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
The Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum in the middle school years of grades 6-8 develops learners’ skills and understanding across all subject areas for the first three years of secondary education and provides excellent preparation for Cambridge IGCSE and the IB program.
CIS offers the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) designed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) to our Grade 9 and 10 students. The program focuses on academic and creative competencies to further develop and consolidate their prior learning and provide excellent preparation for the next steps into the IB Diploma.
